چکیده

Background Mitigation strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, ammonia volatilization, and nitrate leaching from agriculture are important for the management of environmental pollution climate change. Tannins, which water-soluble polyphenolic compounds, were found emissions in animal husbandry systems when supplemented ruminant diets. Aim Two laboratory incubation experiments conducted investigate effects Quebracho tannin-enriched manure on carbon (C) nitrogen (N) mineralization processes, three different soils (sandy moderate acidic, sandy alkaline, loamy alkaline). Methods In two 4 9 weeks, soil samples analyzed K2SO4 extractable C N, NH4+ NO3–, microbial biomass C, pH. main experiment CO2, N2O, NH3 regularly monitored. Results Three days after application, CO2 reduced by 26%–37% N2O 80%–92% treatments compared with tannin-free manure. However, subsequent cumulative only alkaline applied Also, initial weeks net-mineralization application was significantly lower manure, reflecting an immobilization N short term or inhibition process physicochemical complexation proteins enzyme activities long term. both experiments, NO3– 23%–95% 3–9 Conclusion These results highlight mitigation potential leaching, suggest that may be increased depending properties.

Greenhouse gas emissions from two soils receiving nitrogen fertilizer and swine manure slurry.

The interactive effects of soil texture and type of N fertility (i.e., manure vs. commercial N fertilizer) on N(2)O and CH(4) emissions have not been well established. This study was conducted to assess the impact of soil type and N fertility on greenhouse gas fluxes (N(2)O, CH(4), and CO(2)) from the soil surface. The soils used were a sandy loam (789 g kg(-1) sand and 138 g kg(-1) clay) and a...

Greenhouse gas emissions from sub-tropical agricultural soils after addition of organic by-products

As the cost of mineral fertilisers increases globally, organic soil amendments (OAs) from agricultural sources are increasingly being used as substitutes for nitrogen. However, the impact of OAs on the production of greenhouse gases (CO2 and N2O) is not well understood. A 60-day laboratory incubation experiment was conducted to investigate the impacts of applying OAs (equivalent to 296 kg N ha(...
